Ballard – Local and long distance moving companies
Ballard has earned the title of Seattle’s best neighborhoods, and reasonably so – it’s filled with a lot of things to do, but without the crowd and noise that downtown has. The neighborhood was established by Scandinavian immigrants around the 1800s, which gives it a different, unique atmosphere that most of Seattle’s neighborhoods don’t have. Ballard’s streets are filled with historic buildings and rustic warehouses that are now converted into bars, restaurants and historic landmarks. While Ballard might seem like a major attraction for having fun and letting loose, there is definitely more to this neighborhood than that. The most famous attraction in Ballard for both locals and tourists is the Ballard Locks, where boats of all shapes and sizes load into the locks, moving between the canal and workers raise and lower the water level depending on the traffic. By being a neighborhood with tons of west-facing coastline, Ballard is an amazing place for sunset views. Along the Ballard Locks you can find the Carl S. English Jr. Botanical Garden, where you can watch ships both enter and leave Lake Union and the Puget Sound. The process itself is interesting, educational and sometimes even entertaining. Old Ballard is one of Seattle’s top hot spots, and features boutique shopping, world-class restaurants and a bustling nightlife.
Known as the Ballard Avenue Landmark District, many of the buildings were built from the 1890s to the 1940s. Ballard’s Farmers Market is considered to be a prime attraction in Old Ballard, as it features a wide variety of fresh foods and flowers from Washington farmers every Sunday. Ballard is also famous for its Breweries, as it features more of them than any other neighborhood in the Pacific Northwest, Ballard has become a craft beer lover’s paradise. The breweries take up a 6-by-12 block area in the residential area of Ballard, and currently there are 12 breweries and 3 taprooms. Featuring a variety of exhibits that share Nordic and Nordic-American cultural heritage, the Nordic Museum is another beautiful must visit when in Ballard. And just off the Ballard Bridge, Fisherman’s Terminal is home for hundreds upon hundreds of fishing boats that spend months on the open sea, just off the coast of Alaska. Northwest 60th St. Viewpoint, Sunset Hill Park and Golden Gardens Park offer breathtaking vistas of the Shilshole Bay, perfect for relaxing and taking in the beautiful hues over the Pacific Ocean.
Ballard can offer everyone absolutely everything, while still remaining its peacefulness and relaxing energy of the neighborhood. And while downtown Seattle is a stone’s throw away, you won’t find yourself in the need to traverse at all, when Ballard has almost everything while maintaining the warm, historic charm and appeal.

What a great group of guys! Hard workers great attitudes all around nice guys! I appreciate all the hard work and treatment of all my stuff as if it was your stuff! Wouldn't think twice to use this company and this group of guys again! Thanks again guys.
Mark and Alex just moved ALL of my things from Ballard to Queen Anne and they were EXCELLENT! I had this couch in storage that they had to take the legs off of just to get it out of the unit. Then they finagled it into the room somehow - they are moving wizards! HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys!
We had an awesome experience with this company. We needed movers on pretty short notice and they worked us into their schedule. Their rates are very reasonable-especially if you pay in cash. Our movers were Mark, Alex, and Yedil, and they were all friendly and super efficient but still very careful with our things. I still cannot believe how quickly and smoothly the whole process went. Would definitely hire these guys again!
